Our Founder: The PR Ninja

Hello! My name is Cristy Brusoe and I've become known as the PR Ninja. In more technical terms, I'm a Media Relations Specialist and Storyteller with over a decade of experience in the world of Public Relations. I hold a Bachelors in Journalism from UW-River Falls and a Masters in Leadership Education from Winona State.

My Experience

I got my start in public relations right out of college. Not knowing exactly what I wanted to do career-wise, I landed an internship at a small start-up PR company in Stillwater, MN. Shortly after, I became the Media Relations Manager and led 6-8 client accounts for several years. My entrepreneurial spirit caught up with me during my Masters program, and I branched off on my own. Thus, in 2016, The BCPR Group was formed.

I grew up in Minnesota and still claim myself as “Minnesotan,” but have called Tampa, Florida my home for the past several years. My passions outside of work include animal fostering and rescue, being an avid sports fan, tackling home DIY projects, and teaching as an Adjunct Professor at SNHU.

Amy Franco's journey into the world of PR is a testament of her drive and adaptability. Beginning her career as a dental hygienist, Amy's transition into the field of PR was marked by her innate passion for storytelling, nurtured by her years of listening to others' stories day in and day out.

Her fascination with the art of communication and the power of narratives led Amy to embark on a remarkable journey during her off-hours. She dedicated her free time to mastering the intricacies of PR, diving deep into the world of strategic communication, media relations, and reputation management.

In 2021, Amy joined The BCPR Group as an intern. Her innate talent for crafting captivating narratives and her ability to build meaningful connections quickly set her apart. Through sheer dedication and a relentless pursuit of success, Amy swiftly advanced within the agency, eventually becoming a lead on various client accounts. Today, Amy Franco leads as a PR Strategist and expert in client service.
